Eddy
Light eddying in the swimming pool, out of the corner of my eye
the dog reflected in the shadows on the surface
sun warms my face on this late September morning
I cannot tear myself away
even to save my skin from the threat of melanoma
squeals and shouts of excitement intermingle from the schoolyard across the park
I sit, trying to find inspiration in order to finish my manuscript
inside or outside, it doesn’t much matter
the muse has fled
formula for success?
I let it rest
and sink into the enveloping warmth of the sun and the silven eddy in the corner of my eye
and let sleep infiltrate every pore of my body
starting at my toes.

There is nothing quite like a good night's sleep...:)

This flows and dances under the cadence of knowledge... "Eddy" is a poem to strike the sea of imagination and lead the reader by the shores of satisfaction.
