Latin Lover
Words are words no matter the language
Cruising through Spanish in 10 minutes a day,
I look at all the similarities to Ingles
El agusto, el artista, el animal
Even el gato you can twist around to see cat
But where did we get dog from - el perro?
It all leaves me with no choice
But to learn the Latin roots
It’s the only way of solving the puzzle
Knowing that even then
There will remain a missing piece.
