Everyone has a story to tell---
This is my story---------------

THIS IS MY STORY
What Is Old Age?

It's OK,I am only spending their inheritance!!!!

Old Age is like an old garment
tattered and worn
too many holes to patch
Time to be replaced

I remember the time
everyone wanted
a piece of me
like waiting for
his piece of cake

That was when I was young
and beautiful,
full of life
energy to spare

Nights I was tired
ready to sleep
Yet, there were
more demands

Early to rise,
late to bed
no time to read
or sew

Made something
beautiful
four wonder
kids
you know

I belonged to
the family
like the old car
ready to go,go,go

Now, I am old
outlived my
usefulness
others go, I stay behind
minding the store,
keeping the home fires going

But nobody comes
Nobody calls
Nobody seems to care
All are too busy

Tending to home, business
and kids
Yet, I am still loved
by the one above
He will soon call
Then I will be missed

What good is that?
sa la vivire

You will always have a place and be loved in our house here on the den Lil Flower but I do know what you are talking about as we get older our usefullness declines to those we raised it seems.

It is sad that one does grow with age yet I can say without doubt that I am glad I enjoyed the last years of my father's days and I am so glad I am enjoying my mother's still days of old...I wish you well and enjoyed this work of reflecting back...

Wishing you well.....Art Sun...

Hey girl. That doesn't sound like you. Where is that spirit?
You never give up. When God wants you he takes you. Until then there is something here he still wants you to do. Find it! Do it! and praise God you have life.
God Bless,
Lew
