A LITTLE BOY

Wandering on desert's sand under a relentless sun...some are water thirsty, others, like alcoholics, can't get enough from their glasses, yet, a few will never quelch the thirst for a mother as long as they are alive.

Many things I could do
if I were a child,
climb to the top of the trees
or run like a wind going mad.

Pursue the moving shadows
if I were a child,
to every corner of the garden
kissing them with my laugh.

Throw questions and questions
if I were a child,
to every person in the world
and for answers not wait.

Many thing I could be
if I were a child,
from a love-starved orphan
to a bundle in a mother's arms.

I came to find the "black" you wrote of on Charlie's Prisms...

I'm sorry, it is NOT here...you cannot be black and write these words. Perhaps royal purple, bordered in white...

My God, I love how you write, Georg. I loved this poem, especially the line, "kissing them with my laugh." What a wonderfully descriptive phrase ... just wonderful.
