Hamlet's Haiku

Around the second half of the 1800's, master Masaoka Shiki reformed haiku into 17 syllabes, composing haiku in a 5-7-5 cadence, then... ...in the 21st Century, master Kimmy Van Kooten gave us a western alternative, a 7-5-7 cadence (and why not?), which goes away from the english 16 syllabes one. Embracing the charming Kimmy rules I thought how the prince in Copenhagen would say it. (sorry Shakespeare!)

Hamlet didn't ask this one; now... this is the question, Haiku or not Haiku, how? domo arigato, tomo dachi Kimmy �

domo arigato, tomo dachi, to you Georg! This is quite an honor and I am sitting here with my eyes looking up and my heart beating stronger to see my name on the "same page". but different of course, as ,Shakespeare and Masaoka Shiki...All I have in my store of gratitude, I share with you! This was absolutley my Favorite Kimmy Ku, and always will be!
