Tiptoing she came, like a lover full of desires and promises, like trying not to upset a dream.

Poem Artwork

A softly tap on the windowpane
woke me up, maybe, I thought,
was the last snow trying to say,
with eyes full of icy tears,
goodbye, before melting away...

...curious, I went to pull open
the curtains to see the caller,
and there she was, ethereal and bare,
smiling and trying to corver herself
with flowers, Spring had arrived!

Glad I got to read this poem while spring is still here. The mockingbird and woodpecker wake me each morning with their different noises. Spring flowers and trees are at their blooming at last after a dark winter. thanks for the reminder to worship spring.

So wonderfully put. Nice, covered in multi colored flowers. The fragrance from all those flowers must have been wonderful. Enjoyed.

Be safe,

Georg,
Beautiful poem of renewal. Spring is my favorite season. The cold snow is replaced by green grass and flowers. Lawn mowers are taken out of their hiding places and used once again. Birds come back for the summer < hummingbirds are my favorite>. I put out feeders for them every year. Spring is a time for renewal as we take off the blanket of snow and replace it with the wonderment of life, flowers blooming and birds singing again. Outstanding poetry, my friend.

Many blessings,
~Linda

Georg,

This is beautiful. One season leaves, another shyly comes to take its place...you must not be in Texas!! LOL Here, Spring roars in on the breath of thunder and lightning! I'd much rather be where you are....well done!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
