I said...don't dare!!!!

When the towers came down their cement and iron crumbling crushed my heart.
Then, I had plenty of ashes to pour on my head.

Poem Artwork

I am utterly alone, don’t dare to come here
and disturb the malevolent shadows life.

You, that can pass judgment to the sadness
because you think that all it takes is a smile.

To stop all the destructives storms around or
to conquer the cold of the caverns insides.

A leper cannot be conquered with kindness
packed inside a face that’s shows repugnance.

I prefer to die alone, in the company of vultures,
that will take me in their bellies to the skies.

Like a cactus that never prayed for a water drop,
I have thorns to keep you away with pain cries.

Retribution? How could I pay back anything?
born blind, it will never be “an eye for an eye.”

The chalice wasn’t of gold or holding elixir,
just a sip of bitterness to make you to agonize.

Moonless night on a world all dressed in black,
where caresses aren’t allowed, nor are smiles.

My head and my heart ache after reading this. "... a leper cannot be conquered with kindness packed inside a face that shows repugnance ..." This jumped out at me. How can we expect to have peace when we declare war?

'sip of bitterness' and 'where caresses aren't allowed'. These are great expressions. Also I like 'in their bellies to the skies'. Thanks for sharing and cheers.

There is a sense of loss of control with the 9-11 atacks. People who were living a dream began to know that the world was a bigger place than they thought:for liberty was bought with action. It means defending what you believe in with words and Deed. Those who allow their freedoms to be stolen have already chosen their path.

Agreeing with George Carroll, this is deep and the pangs of pain come rumbling through on the page. If it was dark that you were shooting for, you hit the target. Good write.

Thanks,
Dan
