What happens when you forget or don't want to pay your house's rent, morgage, and utilities?
You hide inside...but one day you must open the door to the landlord.

Poem Artwork

I had not a signal on my door but
anyway to my house you came,
to me that had not thought of you,
to me, a nobody ignored by many.

Millions of houses to look in,
and yet you had to choose mine,
when out there were worthy children
and I was only the most rejected one.

I never could be a flower in oases,
just a thorn with pain so attached
that fingers wouldn’t caress me
and where to, the foot would watch.

My name was forgotten and yet
you knew it or so I understand,
opening my door and you was there
as you had been there all this time.

Many knocks in that wooden thing
which from the world keep me apart,
I asked, “who are you?” and you said,
“I am the Almighty, Landlord of your life”

It always sends a chill to your spine to have a landlord at your door, especially when no one else bothered to touch it. You are the voice of reason, George, let the echoes of your words reverberate in the hills and mountains of reality to extract truth from under the skin of silence.

A wondrous metaphor Georg! How blessed we are when He comes calling it's sad that many don't answer the knock! Blessed are those who do!

Ofttimes the mind does not signal, but the heart does...He knows us better than we do ourselves. Never underestimate yourself, Georg...this amazing poem is proof of your faith and love, and what you feel inside for Him.

Great unexpected twist at the end of this one...
This poem reminds me of that famous picture that depicts Christ standing at the door, but there is no knob on His side...We must open the door to let Him in...

I love the line,
" +Many knocks in that wooden thing" It was when they pulled that wisdom tooth, you left a hole not quite sown up my friend, all kiddin aside, this is a most beautiful almost psalm like poem, rich in metaphorical context to the eternal God, who has been with you all this time, but you have neglected him, yet somewhere in the book it says,( return, O Israel, ( Georg ) unto the Lord thy God; for thou hast stumbled in thine iniquity. Take with you( Word ), and return unto the Lord: Say unto him: Forgive all iniquity, and accept that which is good; ...... well there you go, and I hope he will forgive this one, Blessings! I think when that particular Landlord comes a knockin, and many now expect His knock very soon; many today will be paying very dearly, for about an Eternity or so.

Georg,

POWERFUL write - all He asks is faith and belief that He is Lord and Saviour. Not much - none of us are worthy - but the benefit we'll receive is eternal life. :) Well done.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
