Apropos) Man is a Cold Winter...again

Apropos all that greedy feelings that brought sorrows to so many and their Nation to her knees.
Apropos responsibility, accountability, crime and punishment, being for capricious loopholes above the Law that apply to the rest of us.
Man, for thirty pieces of silver more, are asking without shame or repentance, a piece of the last bite of bread hold by an hungry child.

Poem Artwork

Trees shedding its last bits of brown skin,
dead leafs falling down covering the ice,
with the first tickling cold kiss of a winter
traveling on tiptoes down your warm spine.

Man in an empty, cold and dark cathedral
feels like what felt a small grain of sand,
all alone on a flat expanse or naked rock
surrounded by walls that are mountain high.

Imagine, lost away in the heart of a forest
looking for a door to escape is a child,
suppose it's your soul instead that's opening
a door...to another more darker night.

Winter's coming and the company
of summer laugh echoes went away,
then we were alone but didn't felt that alone,
because open for a little of love was our heart.

Cold assaulted us, can't stop the shivering,
as we dream of getting a little warm,
it's not the season's cold that make us tremble,
but the cold feelings coming from winter's man.

Some of us are like the trees peeling off
pieces of pain that falls down over our past,
no doors among us in the darkest forest
for you to open, escape and be again alive.

I have my own cavernous and empty cathedral,
to make me feel as little as a grain of sand,
I sit on a back pew trying to chase away silences
with the rasping voice of my pen...as I write.

I thought the sam ething as KArla about the love of many growing cold. The same scripture
Jesus elaborated on was going through my mind then I read her comment and that cemented it. You have nailed it here in the last days with this prophetic poem. Shuddering feelings of being in a large world, and occupying a small stature in it overcome me through your words.Nature is unforgivng and cold sometimes, but like "in the winter of our discontent," as someone has written it, man is even colder and more unforgiving.

That is why God made children, to teach us by example how to be more like him. This poem makes me shake, and reading it brings me back to primal childhood feelings, like going into the dark forest you wrote about alone, like going into the future alone...Good to know we have each other. This is a keeper...Well done, Georg!

Such a feeling of loneliness and sadness ...how well you have expressed it, Georg.

Dear Georg, you expressed so well the cold that human beings may feel and may project to their fellow man. I know this feeling very well and I try to distance myself from it. As God let me discover his warmth, concealed in us and in many human beings, we have to dig to discover the thread which leads us to ourselves. Great description, although I'd much rather see you write about your warmth and your confidence. Love Emile

This brought me to tears. Surely there is yet the warmth of voices to warm our Winter when the voices of Summer are silenced. A truly brilliant write Georg, the next to last verse is exceptional.

Powerfully penned and imaged in emotional verse, Georg, well done. I read in the Bible that in the last days, the love of many will wax cold. Believe it ...

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Icicles hanging from many a heart, I hear them tinkle, in the windy caverns of wintry thoughts, some grow larger as they get older.
Love is the only heat that will melt them, no matter how they've grown. Happy thoughts for you!!!!!!! Jasmin Horst

As the soul speaks, we sometimes forget to listen to all those things that truly matter in this blessed life. You, your thoughts, your heart and soul came together in this splendid, heartfelt piece of how it should be if we were true to ourselves....

Be always safe,
Karen

Can actually feel the cold and loneliness in this most powerful piece, my friend. And I hope much warmer and brighter days are ahead for anyone in such a state.

"it's not the season's cold that make us tremble, but the cold feelings coming from winter's man." The cold indifference of man numbs the warmest heart. Great poem of substance, words that cut and awaken.

Cynthia
