In 1942 Salvador de Madariaga published a book with the title El Corazon de Piedra Verde (The Heart of Jade) about the extraordinary pre-Columbian Aztec culture destroyed by the Spanish in search of gold.
Someone sowed long time ago a pebble so I could harvest my heart.

inside a heart made of stone,
which no tenderness
can ever soften…
nor prayers can ever open.

Secrets can be suppressed but never ever can they be denied to come out but if they are buried in a stone heart it is very dangerous because it will come out in the form of a revenge. Great work

Such power in a short poem, Georg. We all have our own little secrets, otherwise we would not be human. If you tell then you will be set free. Perhaps the truth is what will mend your heart of stone.
