A smile that lights a fire
A touch that sooths a hurt
A love that heals all wounds
Dreams becoming possible
A tear to share the pain
Of life's cruel slings and arrows
A voice to bring dear memories near
And communicating love's desire
The resolve to try to mend
The broken fences of the past
Determined seeking of the paths
That lead to sweet loves riches
Friendships carefully cultivated
To last throughout the years
Within my heart a warmth does glow
And hopefully it shows
