The event that’s sad shameful and scary
A wall of soldiers with deadly threat
Exuding fear and bristling with weapons
Throwing tear gas and flash bombs
The crowds chant and sing and hold up phones
Whistles blare and car horns honk
Crowds are yelling as tear gas flows
Like fog along the streets it crawls
The goal is to take the migrant person
The Mexican, the poor, the illegal
Send them to detention, arrest, send back
Families split up, hope is lost
“Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning
To breathe free…..”
Apparently we forgot!!!
Consultants have started to fight back against the white supremacist billionaires who have taken over our government and now make it run their way, like a money making business for them. I hope the movement grows like wildfire across the country and the good people of this country will no longer stand for it.
Besides protesting vehemently, we need young people to enter politics on the right side of history and we need to vote for the best people, not the ones with the high-powered accusatory ads, into office.
