I believe it was Ronald Reagan who proffered jellybeans and was the spokesman for smoking cigarettes, "because it was so healthy!" And brought us the "trickle-down" capitalist theory of economics which tells us that the oppressed minorities in a majority run, two-party country, can climb the ladder to success by taking their trickle-down money, saving it, and then investing in their own businesses where they will rise to financial success.

As a former business professor, perhaps 90% of all new businesses fail. As far as rising in corporations, you should be male, go to the right schools, belong to the right fraternities, tall, good-looking, polite, not too intelligent, and certainly not have any disabilities, gender issues, or racial characteristics of a loser variety. I have benefited greatly from PBS and History Channel, as well as mainstream "liberal" channels bringing programs with evidence of atrocities that were banished from history by the powers that be when information was local and never left the community. Like the terrible destruction of the Black Wall Street in the Midwest in 1921 by racist locals jealous of the success of the black people in their town.

The problem in the United States today is not that we are becoming more liberal, or worse being wrongly accused of communism that is nowhere near the truth for those who have studied the forms of government going back to the Republic by Plato. We are actually closer to an oligarchy of the wealthy and very close to far right fascism. So it boils down to the two extremes fighting it out in the media and in Congress while those of us in the middle are waiting for positive action by our government to move us forward like global warming.

As you have stated, you want "peace on earth" according to the Christian tradition. And then, decry "globalism," meaning that all people on the earth would come together in mutual understanding and much less war. Corporations are doing it much better than governments. So we are actually already globalist as an economy. Whatever affects economies in other parts of the world, affects us. We cannot go back to George Washington style isolation. Pres. Monroe left that with the Monroe Doctrine.

But the biggest problem here in the United States is the unwillingness of our citizens to learn science and the scientific method for solving problems. One of the reasons we have been losing out economically to many countries around the world with young people more willing to go into science and technology.

From my 40 years in higher education, all I saw was college students unwilling to take math, science, and/or technology courses. Just the easiest courses they could find to get good grades so that they could get a white-collar, relatively unproductive, job. We have relied on immigrants nearly forever to do the dirty jobs with low pay. I have done the entire gamut of jobs starting with hand picking beans and berries in the field in the hot sun all day to administrative work with no set hours and no pressure for any production (like board members).

So many have turned to God (handed down through the Jewish people in the Torah) and the rebel, Jesus Christ, whose life formed Christianity through his followers a hundred years after he died for a beacon of hope in their troubled lives that they may or may not blame on the government or world affairs.

Scientific study is now finding many things thought true, like wolves are dangerous, to be untrue. I for one have been waking up to new scientific revelations all my life. We have found water, not only on Mars, but on the Moon! From rocks brought back by our astronauts picking them up and bringing them back! But science is also chasing theories unproven and not finding anything even though they may be very interesting and forceful for some individuals. I prefer to stay away from religion because it colors everything that religious people do. It makes them not impartial, but partial to the religious explanation for things, not the scientific ones.

Finally, up until the last couple of years, with an unprecedented pandemic, many parameters of human existence on the planet have been measured, year-to-year and generally, the human condition on the planet, not necessarily the United States, has been better each year. All we have to do is look back at the two World Wars and Great Depression of the last century to see what real suffering was. And it wasn't battles in the Congress that have been going on for nearly 250 years or on the Internet in the last 20, that caused human misery. It was humans' inhumanity to other humans, that until we stamp it out, continues…

Wow, there's allot to unpack here. First I look at the spiritual aspects of cause and effect of the world. And it goes back to Satan knowing his time is just about up and him and his foot soldiers are wreaking as much havoc as fast as possible, causing famine, darkness and sword, however it's biblical in anointing of Elijah, Moses, Ezekiel and David.. Second, the natural which comes after the first manifestation of spiritual is your up against godless self hating communist punks, and punks is what they are, whose world comes from the finest Swiss boarding schools like Klaus Schwabb Rothschild who never held a real job like us working souls. They fancy jets, parties luxury and leisure, while they look for ways to treat you as their"property" . These soulless devil worshipers wish to eliminate approximately 6 billion out of the seven. Prayer, praise, fasting can only break the darkness because I don't believe tribulation is around the corner because the church isn't ready to be taken up. Many in the church have truly bowed to communism ...We are far from tribulation but it is end times. Remember, Jesus was not all rainbows and teddy bears. He kicked over tables in the church in strong rebuke. I believe the church MUST STOP being soft with the works of satan and his people !!!!!!!!!

Be prepared with self sufficiency and choose your acquaintances wisely!!! Get involved and active in your community and know your sheriff if he's constitutional.
