Seeing The Light

NO OTHER ANSWER

During the bustling daylight
of my life, afraid of living,
wasting the sunshine of youth,
blindly following the "fight
for peace" tradition ...
Not knowing my brother,
no other answer.

Now the shadow-softened night,
nocturnal meditations of age,
the rage subsiding, the blind
eyes opening, I begin to see
--that peace is in the
knowing of one another.
No Other answer.
