To my fellow writers ...

THE WRITTEN PICTURE

Don't you believe
that old saying,
"A picture is worth
a thousand words."
Twenty, well chosen,
(an artful description)
can open the heart of
humanity.

Have no fear that
television, or movie,
will ruin your career.
Are they not entirely
dependent upon your
words-- words written
to be spoken?

You may use new tools
(the latest technology)
but for millenniums,
education, history,
revelation... have
depended on speech
symbology.

Eternally, in some form,
it will be. For society
requires transmission
of emotion, ideas,
information-- a record
for the following
generation.

Interesting, makes one pause and think. Yes words, each word is important and carries its own weight. Nicely written....

Be safe,
Karen

Wonderful thought and great write.
I once was a radio announcer and one of my favorite lines was "they say a picture is worth a thousand words but if you give me a thousand words I will paint you a much more beautiful picture. Using your imagination I will give you three deminsion quality and more.
