For a paragraph
in the local paper,
your face on TV,
an inch or two on the
library shelf, you seal
yourself in a cell
of solitude,
deny your eyes
the beauty of nature:
sunset, sunrise,
sprays of silver
o'er rippling cobalt--
even the pure azure
that lovers see...
Oh, how austerely
we regement our
short allotted days,
all for that temporary
season of praise.
Author, author!
I, for one, enjoy writing poetry and all that life has to offer, especially - what life offers me. This may account for why I'm not published - don't have the time.
Welcome!
The poems in this beautifully bound book are a result of over twenty years of observations. Observations of the world around us and on the telecommunications network. All of the hate, love, heroism, disasters, and those who help.
