Remembering that we are all contributors to human progression

      SELF LECTURE

May I always remember
that I am an important
link; let me not be just
an idle bystander.

May my eyes open to see
that global conditions, war,
the fate of my far-off brother,
are my responsibility.

May my heart conceive that
in violent hate-sparked
weather we all get wet, in
wild-fire contention, burn.

May I always remember
that we (every member 
of this world's society)  
are  in jepardy together.
