the lakers
and the sharks
the wind blows
or it doesn’t
the dogs are in the recycles
I’m trying my best
to make some sense of it all
I can’t
fragmented this is
fragmented I am
fragments
of what I had hoped
dreamed
I am on the edge
of
the bed
thinking
I can’t take one more thing
still can’t believe the sharks lost
in overtime
dorks
losers
alsorans
felt the roll of the earth
in the third period
had orders from the man
to check the harley make sure it was upright
I said no check it yourself runs like shit anyway
my legs are still jello from the shake
my mind is still jello from….
jello
ha
jokes on me
thought I was cool thought I had it all undercontrol
thinking padded rooms don’t look so bad
could use the rest
then then who would wash the socks
pay the bills
sit at this desk
dayin and dayout
all the livelong day
I am tired
and the sharks still have a chance
and the lakers will really be sorry sobs if they lose this series
and then oh the fun of fighting with the man cause he likes sacramento
ha
everybody needs to just stay healthy
rein in the checks
and the slip sliding on the court
and it’ll all be cool
and the earth needs to stop jiggling my belly
and everyone needs to back off me
and let me breath
all I can do is all I can do
and the fucking wind
needs to blow somewhere else

one of those days..................

Well done. Flows beautifully. You should publish a volume of poetry. You have a modern style and excellent word choice. One of the best I've seen expressed here at AuthorsDen. Keep up the good work. ~E

Hate days like that and have felt like that, too--
"fragmented this is
fragmented I am
fragments"
Love your writing, though--strong, vivid expression...
