this piece was written for my middle child, who sometimes feels lost, he has just been promoted to middle school and i wanted to reiterate my love
look at you
growing so fast
handsome
true of spirit
proud you are my son
don't ever doubt
that you are good
or important
you
are
the sunshine
of my life
my
firstborn
son
and
i am
bursting
with joy
at the person you have become
i love your smile
your twisted humor
your worry wart concern
your desire to shine
in a house of stars
and you do
relax in yourself
know that i love you
be confident of that
forever
you are
my charles
child of my heart
proud i am
of you
