I’ve been thinking
about
what
purpose there is
to this constant
head banging existence
I call
my life
really
seriously
what in gods name is it all good for
out the door everyday trying to scrape a buck
home to figure out what’s for dinner
taxicab
bill payer
laundry queen
sometime sex goddess
so
what’s the bottom line
what’s the friggin purpose
does it matter
that I was ever here
does it matter
one way or another
if I were not
really
I know my kids might miss
no
probably not
I’m about a nag
do this do that blah
not that I have any death wishes
just that I wonder
if
I matter
in the master plan
does josephine marie gonzales wootten
make an iota of difference
can’t see that as being the case
I haven’t done one single thing to make it a better world
except maybe recycle
I am queen recycle
not even a toilet paper roll makes it past
my eagle recycle eye
so I guess
you
know
maybe I do matter
maybe just that one thing
recycling
yes
that is my purpose
yes
I see that clearly now
there is a reason
for me to breathe this fine air
there is a reason
albeit trite
today I’ll take trite
I need
any trite thing I can find
to
justify
my existence
today
woe is me

contemplating life

Well woeful Wooten... just imagine if you were never born neither would your children have been, and did you ever wonder what would have happened if Mary felt that way Jesus wouldn't have been born either. There is a reason for each of us even if we never see it.;-)
