your never gonna know till you try
never
you won’t
so how to start
what to do
define your goals
what do you want
to publish
why
in the hope that all of this scribbling
could reach somebody
somebody would Get it
and
what else
money?
money as a goal
poetry doesn’t sell like prose does
know that going in
you do it for the love of it
for the sheer joy
of connecting
period
a rich poet rarely if ever happens
kay so you have to think about
alternate means of survival
in the mean time
what would it hurt to
try
trying never killed anyone
you try you fail you win
at least you try
or
you sit and cry
and fret
about coulda shoulda
didn’t
your choice
go figure
no one knocking on your door
start knocking on theirs
simple
nothing wrong with that
it’s the American way
stranger things have happened
and really it’s not so strange
your never gonna know till you try

The most important part is in the trying, not in the success! There is no success without the effort! Hugs Bill
