bone to pick
that’s what I have
a
bone
to
pick
there are it seems
a lot of people proclaiming
love
love to me
and I do
thank you for that
no doubt you think you love me
but
actions or non-actions speak louder than words
thank you for the words
words that seem to stop up these days
in my own mouth
words I just can’t seem to spit out
like
the questions
all the questions I have for all of you
like
‘what are you thinking’
‘how do you doubt me’
‘how can you say and think the things you are’
excuse me
but I thought I was an adult
capable of deciding for myself what is best
for me
capable of deciding for myself
seems to not be the case
and few if any are seeing the picture
of where I am and why
and I’m saddened sickened disheartened
because you see it’s not the way I pictured it
it’s not the way I thought it would play out
not any of it
bone to pick?
no there is no bone
not even worth talking about
or thinking about anymore
but let me tell you this
I see
all of your colors
I know now who you are
and what I mean to you
really
no
bones
about it

Excellent Josie. It's sad that some cannot fathom matters of the heart. They see only black and white and forget about all the beautiful colors in between.
Josie,
Lass, tis both refreshing and inspiring to see courage shine brightly as the moon, against the cowardice threatening backdrop of the black night sky, laced and imbued in swarthy, unseemly and masquerading anonymity.
Hi Jo,
I missed you where have you been and why are you picking a bone?
Glad it's not mine.
Whoever is bugging you, just ....ignore them.
I love your poems and hope to see lots more here now that bone is in the bin.
Best wishes always

Well, Josephine, looks like you picked the bone anyway. And a fine job of it you did. BTW, I think there are some Wootens in my family tree, back about great, great time.

Good to see you back. Some strange colors too. [smiles]
Frustration seems to pour sometimes. Then when you try and explain it just gets worse. Why is it that people think we can't speak for ourselves most of the time? Great write Josie,,~SH~
