It was a long ride home Traveling half in darkness, half in light Without an end in sight Fleeting thoughts like rolling hills Of blurry images that flash before your eyes Our love, forlorn of compromise Four hundred miles along the line That neither of us crossed For fear we would be lost And as the wheels churned In the distance you could feel the sun set Upon the shadows of regret A superfluous journey You were of course, half wrong and at least half right 'Twas such our fight Sudo Nym September, 2007 All Rights Reserved

In the distance you could feel the sun set
Upon the shadows of regret
