The clock hand continues to tick and it appears time marches on
And even  though thoughts urge progression,  the heart says no
Such so, I live a disconnected life, where mind and body disagree
Where a past shadows the present, supplanted by memories sown

My soul, now stained, is marked by an indeligible imprint
And even though my heart, branded by your love, is seared and scarred
Such so, my mind continues to wander through the halls of recollection
Where prevaricated dreams now waver  fragmented and marred

They say, time heals all wounds; they lie
For time's irrelevant, she sighs
A heart does not, a timepiece own
And days gone by, don't change what's known
What was, still is, thus time stands still
A ticking clock? It's meaning? ~~ Nil

They say, time heals all wounds; they lie

I recently wrote the same thought in much the same words; I can relate to what you express here, Sudo (Pseudo). Thanks for sharing. Love and best wishes,

Regis
