The journey ahead, a beacon of light,
Shimmering sunset to bright sunrise

The chance of salvation, day unto night
A gift to embrace with arms held wide

Devoid of the journey nothing would fit
Offered light and promise where none lived

And so it would be a vigil to keep
Just sensing a chance was ripe to pick

Searching the soul and offering the heart
Sharing with friends who walk the same path

Knowing where once there was none but despair
Lives desired dreams of what may appear

In climbing the cliff and hearing the voice
Recall times past with certain remorse

The person that was has but come and gone
Leaving to flourish what will become
