Yet my heart beats within your hand
And it feels nothing.
I can talk circles around your
Petty and casually meandering brain.
Amuse you with stunning similes
And magnanimous metaphors.
But take these words and debase them;
There are no actions here…
No tangible essence,
Merely words on a page.
But I can fill you with budding,
Beautiful and wonderfully ripe vinefulls
Of effervescent lexicons and
Fabulously coined phrases
Until your brain runneth over.

That I was repentant for
Being verbose?
