More often than not,
there are obstacles placed in the paths of our direction to success,
leading us into one-way traffic and mass confusion.
We pull over to read from a road map with no lines
and names of a city we don't see,
yet never reading the billboard sign thrust boldly before thee...
REST AREA ONE MILE.
More often than not,
we are stripped of our pride and criticized for our confidence. Our ability to overcome fatigue while driving becomes impossible, especially in the dark…
More often than not,
our journey down the road to success
will detour, derail and sometimes venture off course;
yet if we filled our tanks with unlimited ambition,
and maintained a spare PRAYER,
in addition to our spare tire,
not only would we arrive safely at
our desired destination,
but have energy
to go on...

Excellent! However, I felt that the last line
should have read, "but have energy to go
further." Still, I thought it was exxxxcellent!

Excellent! What a inspiration! It speaks to how so many people have to not only deal with their insecurities, but also outside people telling you, your'e not good enough. This poem lets you have hope.
