Of brooks and other things

When a brook babbles,
I lull myself into slumber
While counting the bubbles
Sailing downstream.

When an infant babbles,
I marvel at Life’s renewal
In the form of a new generation
To love and nurture.

When an elder babbles,
I pause to ponder the memories
Keeping him forever young
During his venerable years.

When I babble…shhh…
Don’t disturb me;
My muse and I are having tea,
Sharing the bird’s-eye view of my mind.

Imagine that…

To babble is for me to dabble,
While playing with my dog, scrabble,
Though it is said of us commoners,
We are nothing more than a rabble,
What say you about my herein, psychobabble...? Ed
