The sun awoke,
But did not rise;
It chose to walk.
I could not miss
That platinum light
Or fail to feel its warmth.

That crystal image
Blinded me and
Enticed me toward it.
That golden globe
Stayed put,
Letting me come hither.

My desire increases
To walk into its embrace,
Leaving my troubles.

No more debts,
Family cares,
Job struggles,
Relationship burdens…
No more worries.

It rose as I drew near;
I chased the sun to
The heights of a tower,
Where I watched it dance
With rays that reached for me
So I could join it.

“What about the fall?”

It is no consequence;
One must first kiss the ground
Before rising to touch the sky.
