In days that stutter
intricate words
speaking to winds
headed Northeast
of California dreams
nestled in the crawlspace
of eyes wide with envy
for foreign distant hills
confined in beauty
borrow from your smiles
while the world waits
at fingertips
feeding you prayers
because it is all I can do
not to believe
there is a god
behind all of this.
In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
This book represents a thirty-day period of my poetry journal. Each poem addresses
the dominant thoughts occupying my mind during the early morning hours of a given
day.
