Hanging of the Cross
A cross stood high upon the hill, there hung an innocent man.
The blood that washes away our sins came oozing from his hands.
Even in the pain he felt his prayer was for our forgiveness.
The pain which he was called to endure caused him great distress.
At one point he cried out to his Heavenly Father from that tree,
“My God, my God, why hath thou forsaken me?
They mocked him and they jeered him and they made fun of his great pain.
But three days later when that cross was empty his followers heard the Angels refrain.
He ascended to the Father and sits there reining on his right side.
Believe in him and follow him and in his love abide.
