“Cast”
I try to give, all that I can.
I have been used for all of my worth.
And now you cast me aside.
An empty husk for the rest of my life.
“Blood”
Blood –
The essence
The life
The death
Life –
The love
The blood
The fear of…
Death –
The blood
The fear
Forever?
Eternity –
The goal
If fear of death can keep us alive,
Can fear of life keep us undead?
“Look at Me”
They never see me, the ones who matter
The ones with futures
They avert their eyes, when I look at them
The popular peoples
But as I forge ahead, and set all that aside
The future awaits
They will have to see me, someday when I succeed
All by myself
They will have failed, used to Narcissism
Felling themselves
But I will soar ahead, to my destiny
They have tempered me
But then they will have to see, what they did not want to see
They will truly see Me!
Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
