There a nice beat and meaningful sentiments in your offering, Ron. Thank you. Love and peace.

"Jazz is her lifeblood, in Muse does she trust"... in that case, Ron, she will definitely resurface, never to be quenched; greater will be the Muse over this hallowed place now than ever before, I reckon. Born in adversity and reborn through death and oppression: the soul of gospel, blues and jazz. This is just brilliant and am saving. TY Kate xx

Another great one Ron, catching the flavor of the big easy and the pathos it arouses! Brilliant!

My god, Ron... I'm supposed to be a 'word person'... AM one! Yet, I'm really quite stunned by your piece... I doubt that when I click "send" here I won't really be satisfied that I've coveyed all of how I feel.

I'd say you've done what I haven't read elsewhere, writing of her flavor, a memoir... you honor her in her own words. From the first line to the last, I wandered through her personality, her uniqueness, her heart. This is just plain magnificent. You have done the old girl proud! May she rise again... this country has nothing like here anywhere. You captured that beautifully! katy xox

Wow! are you ever prolific this weekend, Ron! This is a beautiful tribute and an awesome poem. I enjoyed the gentleness of it and the simple reality that colored your verses.
Take care,
Sherry
