There are no limits to imagination…

 Simalaya

There are no mountain peaks,
only turned up ocean beds,
pushed up into the sky,
when the ocean leaks.

Into the molten core,
making volcanoes roar,
and magma soar,
to new found heights.

Only to implode,
and release its load,
of pent-up gas,
and rocky ash.

While life clings on,
to sing its song,
and the tides roll in,
so it goes, on and on.

There are no black holes,
we cannot see,
only gravity so great,
light cannot flee.

How would we conquer,
gravity so great?
We can't even fathom,
we can't even relate.

How many universes,
are side-by-side?
Are we dreaming a universe,
we can't abide?

Pixel by pixel the image is formed,
a monster or angel is transformed,
into something the artist desires,
and our hearts yearn for,
with the playing of lyres.

Four dimension images magically appear,
our greatest aspirations,
our greatest fear.

When we have reached the mountaintop,
there's still much more to see,
the universe is our oyster,
the universe is free.

Use it.

I love your poem. It reads like a song. Thank you for sharing your gift, Ron. Love and peace to you,

You've been watching Cosmos haven't you? The parallel universe concept is fascinating especially since we really can't fathom the one we're in. Patrick

"The universe is our oyster,
the universe is free. Use it"
Before we get charged for that!
Great piece, Ron.

Loved the poem, but thought the theme wavered and changed rather than developed. However that may simply be my own limitation - after only a second read.

Nicely said. It's free only in the sense that all the little trolls crawling around here cannot collect a fee from it. But it will gobble up anyone or anything that tries to abuse it.

Lexicon of mastery and a masterful work of profundity. You array of thoughts, is quite simply, stunning.

Much to learn from this universe. Sometimes I feel like I know just a fraction. Very well written Ron. Thanks for sharing!

So much here that I wonder about. We know so little but our wondering is great. I enjoyed this.

Love ya!

Good write, opens my eyes to endless imagination, makes me remember my little boy fantasies, that I still treasure. Thank you, Ron!

This was fun to read. Written with a kind of wide-eyed wonderment. I had to laugh, Ron, at these three lines:
"Only to implode,
and release its load,
of pent-up gas,"... because I think you've found an apt description for the colicky thought-processes of pot-head poets. Enjoyed... rlc

Great message within this poem. We are not born to know everything yet, and some are still unreached by the human minds and knowledge. The universe is a large home, housing little planets such as the one we dwell in. Although it seems impossible to learn everything about the universe within our lifetime, but what we've learned we passed it onto our future generations. The learning process will not cease. Yes, "Use it" is the key word to gain new knowledge.

Love this, Ron! Very well written!!!

This one is special, Ron. Your commend of the language is very apparent withing the lines of this far-reaching poem. It read like an outstanding thriller without the body counts and blood, although that is also a part of nature as we climb these rocky peaks just because we can. Our personal mountain peaks, however, sometimes are much more dangerous to climb that the huge pile of rock pushed up from under the sea.
