She is so excited, (she is almost six)
To see her mother in re-hab
Hasn’t seen her for months
The visit isn’t the same for me
The amount of dread in the pit of me
Is only overcome by my will to do what is right by her child
As we leave, her mother says, “Thanks.”
I want to tell her, “I blame you for so much.”
But, because of my granddaughters smiling face and skipping feet
I don’t
I hug you that you didn't, you are right she does not NEED to be reminded of the sad situation HER mom put you's in!
I send you my strength, when you feel you are lacking it!
I send many warm hugs to little one, for feeling in her heart, a love still so strong!
This sets a powerful life meaning for many!
Take Care of your own, their OUR repercussions! Sometimes! WE are the ones who really benefit! :)
God Bless!

This is sad...happens all too often. You are doing the right thing in allowing the child to see her mother, and raising her the best way you know how. (((prayers)))
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
I grew up being raised by my grandparents for the most part..I till this day really don't communicate with my mother. I have always felt that my Nana (grandmother) was my real mother, she gave me love, and nurtured me. And you know, that is where bonding comes in..Your grand daughter will never really be close to her mother, the bonding of these early years will dictate that..Do not fear, you are doing the right thing, and your grand daughter will benefit one hundred times more for this..You are an amazing woman.
