In Our Time

There are worlds out there,

And ways of living,

That I have no way to comprehend.

There are those whose wealth,

I can only see as waste,

But whose lifestyles I would love to experience.

And others, for sure,

Who live in destitute poverty,

A way of living I also do not understand.

At the very moments I am struggling,

Others are living beyond any reason,

And while my plate is ample,

Others are just hoping to find food for survival.

But we all live in our own time,

And we roll along on our chosen pathways,

Ever struggling against the barriers,

Which keep us in our places.

Well chosen words. It's my hope that the ones struggling to survive manage some moments of wealth beyond what they reasoned. I hope forever too, that those who have so much wealth in means, realize the value of wealth in giving of themselves to the heart and soul of community. That sort of giving is a sharper mirror image of one's true value.

Many have and some do not. Each is given what God deems necessary, but some have to work harder at it than others. It seems unfair, but we do not always know the ways of man. Probably someday it will all be explained to us when Peace comes to all.

Ah, yes indeed, Karen, but if we want, truly want and work for it, some of us, not all, but some of us can break through those barriers . . . Good poem . . .

An excellent introspective write, to be grateful for what we do have. Well done, Karen.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Future: The Spiritual Story of Humanity by Glenn Martin

Histories of the world are generally written to either celebrate technology and science, or to herald doom. My book examines the path of the spirit in the onward rush.

Transcendental Sojourn-Arrival to One Journal by Liz Cosline

Explains the realizations that have given the author the views of living life fully. The life each person dreams about. You must take a look at yourself before dreams can be reached. Deciding what is the core of belief.
