It's a sad day when our lives just become "an existence", the "un-lived" life is a tragedy that can happen to anyone - no money, no opportunity, health and strength gone.

Courage to get out the rut is essential, even if people call you selfish for putting yourself first.

Thought-provoking indeed!

Excellent points of view here, Karen. The circumstances be as they will, it's our attitude and response to them that shapes our experience and our reality for certain sure. And each moment steadily becomes more precious as we take the time to live and be grateful for each intake of breath. This is a nice and inspirational poem."I will survive" by Gloria Gaynor is a perfect song for the whole theme of this poem :-).Just like the Army Commercial "Be All You Can Be".Even when things doesn't always go your way,just keep on pushing and striving to achieve goals in your life and just be the best.take good care of yourself

A good inspirational poem. We need reminders such as this to rev up our mental motors toward putting our lives to use in becoming the best we can be. It takes concentrated effort and perserverence.
