Find Some Happy

We need to go back to the constitution,

To what the founding fathers,

Built this nation on. Try to remember,

Freedom, Liberty and the privilege to seek happiness,

Familiarity rings as they drip off the tongue.

Small interest groups have gained so much power….

We pay so much attention to hundreds of issues,

That have nothing to do with the running of a nation,

Because we must, heaven help us,

All be good Samaritans and politically correct.

So we save the “this” and rescue the “that”,

So many organizations want every extra dollar.

If we do not change this and do not give here,

The world will surely be swallowed up whole.

But as for myself, (I’m the only one I can govern),

I will be champion of my very own causes,

And seek to find some happy in the grand place where I live,

Where Liberty and freedom have been paved ahead for me.
