In a moment of weakness i wrote it--thank you for putting up with this "getting it off my chest" write.

Really

I have no thoughts-really,

As I sit here reading these letters.

Just nothingness,

And tears.

Tears for myself-really,

But they are all wrapped around,

My sister's daily battle,

And my sons' indiscretions (I am shamed by their choices).

Tears of empathy-really,

Tears for the wife of one son,

And the girlfriend of the other,

Tears for the little ones, my grandkids.

Tears because I am weary-really,

Of keeping my feet moving ever forward,

Keeping a smile on my face, and positive words to all.

I miss my sons, and I ache for my sister.

I can feel your anguish through this whole poem. My best recommendation is to take a very long walk on a sunny day in a park. It has to be a park, even if you need to drive to one. Being out in nature has natural mood lifters.

Be well, Karen.

The depicting of emotions pondering reality... Really" paints the soul's pain seeking spiritual freedom.

An impressive poetic grand.

Hello Karen,

So brief yet full of pain and impact. Sometimes we parents work overtime at parenting and carry the burdens that our children should be responsible for. I pray you will see better days ahead.

Life can be emotionally draining to say the least, and we often struggle with issues we have little or no control over. That being said I know, your sister knows, and I am sure your son's and their other halves know...
what God in his wisdom must also know, you have the heart of an Angel and Angels' sometimes cry. Angels also though dry their tears, put their smiles back on and go face the world to do what they do best...care.

There will come a day when the tears are all gone as you have cried them all. An angel will hold you now.

Never, ever apologize for tears, Karen - they show a compassionate, hurting heart - beautifully, achingly penned.

(((HUGS))) love and prayer, Karla.

The word "empathy" rolled strongly into my thoughts from the very first lines and so every feeling expressed was understood within that context. This reader could find nothing at all "weak" about daring to be so beautifully human. Thank you for sharing the profound gift that allows you to churn such mind-numbing angst into such deeply soul-moving poetry.

Karen,

This is wonderfully written and heartbreaking. Sometimes loving a person can break your heart, and you feel so helpless.

Keep those tears coming Karen for they cleanse the soul and help heal. Keep praying for all and say one for you as I will also. God Bless and I wish I was there to give you a big loving hug. Love and hugs, Bonnie
