Big Silver Bird

When I was young,

I loved to be seated in the window seat.

The thrill of seeing life below,

Become smaller and smaller, then disappear,

Like toys on a child’s play mat.

When I stepped to the door to enter,

I always stopped at the door,

And touched with my fingers spread,

The metal skin of this big machine,

That defied reason and indeed touched heaven.

I, too, love to fly. Especially in evening, watching the sun set and the light from the cities, below, coming on ... magical!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

I love to fly. Funny -- I do the same thing. I briefly touch the outside of the plane as I enter and hope, this one will do it's job :-)
Merry Christmas.
Love,
Becca~

No matter how many times I have flown, I always love the window seat. There's something so surreal and peaceful to look down at all below.

The ability to fly and raise above gravity always amazes me and yes each time I fly I want that window seat too and still have my nose pressed to the small window watching for that exact moment when the wheels leave the ground. Thanks for reminding me how special flying is.

Literary Savannah by Aberjhani

"The statues of Savannah's Monument Square are silent. The statue of the solemn girl in Bonaventure Cemetery—made famous in John Berendt's blockbuster book, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil—can't speak. Only Savannah's literary monuments can g
