Sing Me To You

inspired by a line spoken in the movie, Australia-the depth of it was incredibly powerful to me--i fail in portraying it

Sing Me to You

Sing me to you with a song of lonely,

Of solitude, no back rubs, and alone.

A song of joy and life but no one to share with.

Sing me to you with a song of longing,

For that witch seems denied,

A wanting so deep no words can explain.

Sing me to you with a song of love,

That speaks of knowing one another,

Since the very beginning of time.

Sing me to you with a song of urgency,

That crazy desperate and needy,

“Can’t stand another moment without you”, song.

Sing me to you with a song of desire,

Of touching, feeling breaths coming short.

A song of steamy, slippery, wet with sweat sex.

Songs from the heart across the miles, whether they be from lovers, family, friends or the place itself are always the most poignant and heart tugging of all songs. You show this in each line of this poem that in itself could be the makings of great song lyrics...well done my friend.

Hi Karen
The Aboriginal people sure know a thing or two. Pity the powers that be don't have the same sense when it comes to backburning. Cheers! Liz

This makes me think of a song from Leonard Cohen called "Dance me to the end of time." Only Cohen's song isn't nearly as steamy as yours. But just as romantic. ~ Sara
