When he walked onto the diamond,

And took his place on the field,

Be it pitcher, third base, or outfield,

The game was instantly electrified.

Charismatic in his passion for the game,

With great strength in his arms,

And skill unmatched in the art of throwing where he willed,

He played the game with the grace of a dancer.

His pitches burned across the plate like lightning,

Many a runner heard the umpire yell, "Out!"

As a pass was made or caught by Bill,

The crowd would give him a standing ovation,

Acknowledging him as a super-star.
