Hugs For Sally
Sally, the youngest daughter,
Works all day, every day,
Then cares for her daughter, her grandchildren,
And her aged and ailing mother.
Sally has a grocery list,
On a paper hung by a magnet,
Which holds an old family photo.
Stuck to the 'fridge in the tiny kitchen.
Bread and milk top the list,
Then some fixin's for a casserole,
But there at the bottom of the list is written,
Right underneath TP and coffee,
The most important item of all,
"Hugs for Sally."
