thanks for educating me on a new term for treasuries Karen, poor management all the way across the board is the problem Karen. The republicans and democrats spend so much time trying to shaft each other that the right things hardly gets done. The motivating reason is the top prize of being number one. One won't back the other because it means favoring what the other does. If it ends up being highly favored by the public this means the other loses ground and the top man for president in that party might suffer a loss during election time. Then there's the overwhelming problem of big business interfering with the political process by waving big bucks, it all sucks. I think one of the smartest things Obama has done is to put a halt on the billions of dollars being shot out into the dark in the space program. I know you remember the star wars fiasco, the government spent billions of tax payers money donating it to the big companies to build this project, it was finally dumped, money down the drain. Big business profited big. Anyway who cares about a manned mission to mars and the stars when we need money down here on earth to conquer the problems here. Great poetic rant, got me going, hugs

This one is hard for me to comment Karen, as I do not know the innies and outies of American Politics!
I see from the surface of thing, it appears as though those of welfare are draining the resources, yes granted, but if you look deeper....

Has it occurred to anyone that those who are in poverty stricken predicaments are a carefully constructed eyesore, with which ALL Govts of the world have used and are now using more..As the proverbial fall guys???

While we focus on the ne-er do els of society, we overlook all the trips, aviation fuel,banquets,clothing,shoes ( never forget Imelda) sundries for all and sundry, all the money spent on every lurk and perk known to man and dog, literally in some cases :):)

Here downunder, we are very very naughty, we follow our Leaders around like little bad smellies, sussing out everything they do, that they shouldn't do and just where is our money going, excuse me please MR PM or Miss Premier ( Governor)..c'mon fess up!!!
If we don't get the correct answers, we go public and ...oh dear, the talk back shows run hot, night and day..we bark up the proverbial tree till finally, someone lets some water go into a reservoir where it should of gone months, NO years before..and so it goes.

There is conflict within the parties, there is mudslinging, its funny to watch them in the hot seat, and it's even funnier when they get ousted for being A class A holes, and wasting the tax payers money!!!
I think we got over the little people here, quite a few years back, when we realized that our water, so badly needed was being stashed and used to collect revenue, interstates/and of course we were being hit with excess water rates and being fined for watering on days other than ration days! Not to mention that the poor gardening suppliers were nearly going broke ( small ones that is) not the biggies with realty in tow..OOOOPS and someone accidently let the gate open and dumped all the water out of the main river, oooh, how disgusting, now its all MUD, and how are we going to cope...Wait!! Gov to the rescue, we do have some megalitres stashed away for a dry day, we can use that, its ok people the precious River wont be a mud bed for the up and coming festival...bla bla bla..

Intelligent solution, I got one...All Journalists, free enterprising citizens, watchdogs, agent provocateurs oooops did i say that, I meant..shit-stirrers extraordinnare (sorry my spelling is off today) Get out there and kick Local and High end GOVT BUTT, and make them give an account as to where, what and why. While your at it, make em put the money back and stop ripping off people!!!!!!!!

Couldn't agree with you more. A profound statement and poem that depicts our troubled economy that is being made worse by every stroke of the Presidents pen.

Problem is, Karen, there are no intelligent men or women on Capital Hill. Now they want to take over health care: let U.S. take care of you, they say. Right. Like they do our Veterans? Why are they (those on Capital Hill) exempt from the very health care plan they want to foist on U.S.?!? Damn shame. :( Powerful write, and I hear ya!!

You are not wrong, Karen, but it is even worse that that. This group in the White House now intends on destroying private companies and have everything controlled by the government. Hussein has already took control of GM and a couple of other car manufacturers. Ford was the only one who did not accept the "bailout," and Ford is the only one who is showing profit. We are in deep doo-doo in this country.
