Flawed

What is wrong with me?

Sometimes the very thoughts,

That swim around in my head,

Belie the person that I so much want to be.

But amid the spiritual insights,

And the ways I use to figure out me,

I still remain so imperfect,

With envious thoughts

And numerous flaws to sort through.

I want to be a person of honor,

Yet I struggle day to day,

To be better than I was the day before,

To stand always for right or wrong.

This is exactly how I feel. Your writing always makes me think and I can always find something in it to identify with.

To say you are flawed is to say you are normal. We all make mistakes and hopefully most people like yourself strive to do better. You are that person of honor because you choose to be good. :)

Flawed and struggling - are not we all? Me thinks you are a better person with each passing day, simply for the wanting to be and the struggle to achieve it. Thanks Dick

Karen, When Mother Teresa said she was a sinner...well I knew I was in big trouble then...but day to day we grow from lessons in life~and learn more about ourselves~

Karen,

You wrote how I'm feeling ... more effectively than I ever could. Beautiful. Well done.

We are human and we can only do our best, if we fail or we fall short than we try harder the next time...some hard soul searching going on here it seems.

No war was ever won with just one battle. If we can be better than the day before we are on the right path to happiness and contentment but it is a pursuit worth achieving.

Karen, I can relate to these words so very much...and I think, the desire to be better is half the battle. You always write with such honesty and sincerity and such a "realness,"...one of the reasons why I am such a fan of your work.

Yeah, I can so much relate to "Flawed." Perfection is so hard to attain!
