amass the residue left behind,
stay alive in a world of misinterpretations,
mend and restore respect for one another,
destroyed by callous remarks and overtones.
Relinquish wily wars fought between us,
overlook the sore stings of the past,
see eye-to-eye as the drum roll rumbles,
unshackle evil spirits of earlier times...
identify and respect one another's opinions,
after all...
everyone owns his or her verdicts.

Yes, like spiritual breathing, it is good to keep the slate clean and to not judge out of the island-making preconceptions of the past... even if it is a past of only two minutes' ago! Such sage advice, given that otherwise we have not a hope of ever influencing how others think of us by modifying our behaviour... their responses will have already been shaped by our past.
