Immortal soul, pray, linger, don’t rush the Earth to leave,
Become devoted clinger, you will never see it again.
Roam places where sorrow and joy you once acquired,
Forgive the pain of torture on love’s eternal pyre.
May happiness be merry, abandon its lamenting
For scarcity of cheer to you it was presenting.
Deprive the love of dignity, it’s no longer needed
You broke the chains that for so long your libety impeaded.
You shed the earthly garments of misery and sin
That for so long were blocking the sunlight from your skin.
Say farewell to lilacs, remember you they will.
The dew does run like tears from them on window sill.
They weep for restless soul that sores above the clouds
“Forgive us, soul, we failed you, of this we are not proud.
Behold, in days of younder, when youth was still in bloom,
We lifted you to heavens above the roaring flume.
Believed you that forever the sky will shine with blue,
But clouds often gathered and lightnings pierced you.
Time and again they hit you, from dusk till early dawn,
You lived with pain and silent was martur’s anguished moan.
But our pungent fragrance that lifted you to sky,
Is still alive, it lingers, inviting you to fly.
It’s you who changed with years, crushed by the heavy yoke,
Your road is wet with tears, your will the years broke.”
“Forgive us our trespasses, not thanking you for love”,
the orange birds were singing on branches up above,
“That Death would show its morbid, cold face in midst of Spring
We never thought was possible”, the birds went on to sing.
Ascending to the heavens, I’m shrowded with pain,
Forgetting how I used to wait for the Sun in vain.
Expecting to be caressed by Sun’s eternal glow,
Yet I remained in shadows, why - I would never know.
Once on a bright Spring morning on Earth I came to dwell,
And on Spring day I destined to hear the requiem bell.
Despite the load of hardship between two Springs I bore,
It pains me to depart now this Earth that I adore!
To birds who’ll ever offer so much of pure love?
Who’s naive dreams will soar with eagles high above?
Who’ll ever taste the freedom of unrestricted flight?
Almighty will be saddened observing my soul’s plight.
I’ll ask him why I carried such heavy hardship weight,
While my needs were so tiny, my pleas to Him not great?
Red leaves on sprawling branches, a piece of me you keep,
To consecrate the color of soul that’s wounded deep!
May other leaves remember my weeping under tree,
My prayers to the sweet Love that wouldn’t acknowledge me.
And if I tell that heavens I crave believe me not, Earth dear,
I’m still so much your part!
Departing for the Eden, I will pack the sweet Earth
Forever to embrace!
