Cry, violin, she’s gone, she’s gone for good,
From world beyond return she never would.
She’ll never rush the time so hated snow
Yield to the bloom and sun’s eternal glow.
Gone from face of Earth, not leaving slightest trace
For ground to intern. Extinct, erased.
Rejected by the Love, she won’t be missed
Lost in the Heaven’s glorious bliss.
Behold, the birds, she rises to the sky.
Don’t try to catch her, she has gone too far,
Turned into distant, brightly twinkling star.
And tell the Wind - he is relieved from chore
Of drying tears this lonely soul did pour.
May lilacs no longer be ashamed
Of lover’s absence, of the broken dates.
Of lover’s failure to observe the blaze
That burned in her delighted, loving gaze.
To leaves and grass I say, don’t fuss and moan
For someone who is now forever gone.
While dressing up in gold for Autumn’s ball,
The one who loved you most, I prey, recall.
Who, under sun that no longer warmed,
Chased by the wind, beside you often soared
When Autumn storms, in their ferocious rage
The leaves and grass with cruel force engaged.
A lovely rose at dawn will shed its tears,
With not a soul around to quell its fears
That she will never smell its fragrant petals
With sadness in her heart that never settles
And hurts, for no one would take a duty
To liken her to rose’s striking beauty.
No one will cry again when Autumn breeze
Will rip the rose apart in sad reprise,
No one to pick the petals strewn around
And bury them as treasure in the ground.
Oh, mighty Ocean, what is it you know
About the heart that lost its inner glow,
And turned to ashes to be washed away
By your high tide one miserable day?
The heart that blazed with love’s eternal fire,
As hot and fiery as a funeral pyre,
To make you doubt that your awesome force
Is greatest of all elements on Earth.
Alas, the only force that put the fire out
Was one’s cold heart, of this have no doubt.
So, prey, don’t toss the burnt out heart around,
Don’t batter it with waves, don’t let it run aground.
The cruel life took care of abuse
And strangled love in greasy lyncher’s noose.
Just take the ashes, scatter ‘cross the waves
And memories commit to sandy graves.
Almighty Sun, she grew so tired to wait,
For your hot rays her heart to penetrate.
But you delayed, since you can’t understand
The notion of mortality in men.
She was unhappy on the mortal Earth,
But what awaits her after her rebirth
When she departed cold and wretched world
To share your celestial abode?

lovely work
"Alas, the only force that put the fire out
Was one’s cold heart, of this have no doubt." So true of so many things that require passion and consistency to survive. Thank God a cold uncaring heart has not put out the fire of your excellent poetry. Never rest your quill poetess. Peace and health to you, and my thanks to Anatol for his fine work. rlc

Peace love and light
