Poetry by Liana Margiva

Don’t call, don’t seek, your efforts are in vain

Remind not of the time the heart knew not the pain.

Wrapped in the dream of sweet love’s godly glee,

For her you waited under lilac tree.

She ran to you as soon as stars appeared

Two hearts would beat like one when midnight neared.

In tight embrace, united by a kiss

Two hearts enjoyed immeasurable bliss.

“My love”, your lips would whisper in the dark,

While moonlight in your eyes ignited sparks.

In cruel world where hopes expire fast

The eyes that sparked both joy and primal lust

You kissed with fervor in sweetest dream,

On starry night with passion they would gleam.

But in the day, among the strangers’ eyes

You couldn’t see behind the cold disguise

Eyes filled with passion follow you in crowd:

You never turned, to face those eyes, around

To see in them the love in tears drowned.

Oh, if the heart could ever voice its zest

It would reveal its deeply hidden nest

Which held the cherished memories of you

And wishes that someday you’d get a clue.

Alas, those wishes would not be fulfilled,

Life rushed by fast and took away the thrill.

You never recognized heart’s frantic call

And let the sorrow dwell in dismal soul.

The dream of bliss forgotten and dismissed

No more desires of a tender kiss

From one who was the light by heavens sent,

But never cared about heart’s torment.

Can happiness exist without love,

Is there such a chance by reason missed

And heart just never knows it exists?

I DON'T KNOW WHOM I FEEL SORRIER FOR; THE LOVER WHO HAD NOT THE GUMPTION TO STAND UP AND 'PROCLAIM' TRUE LOVE FOR THE ONE HE TRULY HAD FIRE AND PASSION FOR?...OR...THE REJECTED ONE LEFT BEHIND WHO HAS COMMITTED TO A LIFE WITHOUT LOVE ENTIRELY? I GUESS I FEEL SORRY FOR THE BOTH OF THEM. SAD, VERY SAD. LIANA, WHAT A FINE POET YOU ARE AND IT IS BECAUSE, YOU HAVE LIVED! THANKS FOR SHARING, MY FRIEND. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

Tough one Liana, but easy is the question, Can happiness exist without love, the answer is yes. Tough is the question, can IT EXIST IN A RELATIONSHIP, hardly as it would soon die by its own hand.

A hell of a piece of writing concerning lust and false words to take advantage of that lust. Lonely is he who ne'er understands that lust must be accompanied by love.
