Glass Menagerie
Fragile heart
Glass menagerie
in a reflection
the beauty fades away
Old fable tells of love and lonely ends
time repeats itself
in new times
the same old trends
Why in contrast must it be
side by side
where you don’t see
until it’s too late
Broken glass
warped and altered
confidence fades
strength has faltered
Looking now in the mirror
you see you’ve paid the price
still a wonder
but not the same
the glass was really ice
